Today we celebrated the bride to be. I think I totally scored in the sister in law department.

Easter

Easter this year was gloomy and raining....but we saw Sunshine and Light for we know that our Lord and Savior is alive and living. We have HOPE and JOY in knowing that someday He will return and we are free.

Daisy

She no longer sees His face distorted or through a veil BUT as clear as it can be. She no longer wonders what His touch will feel like BUT is being held in HIS arms. We will mourn the loss of her BUT she will weep no more.

On February 16th the Lord called home sweet precious Daisy Love Merrick. She is such a special person to us. When I told Asher his friend had gone to be with Jesus in Heaven he looked at me with tear filled eyes and while crying said, "Mom....we don't have to be sad anymore." how right he is.

I took these pictures last summer, one of the last times Asher and Daisy got to play freely outside. She was feeling good and wanted to attempt the slip and slide. Asher was kind and patient with his dear friend and Kate and I had a lot of fun watching them be sweet together. The memory is so fresh in my mind I can still taste it and feel her. I love Daisy.

The Sevenator

March 2nd 2013 marks 2 special things.
1. My dear sweet Asher James Smith is now seven years old, the sevenator, is what I like to call him. In addition to the shredenator.
2. Because Asher is now seven he is allowed to watch the Star Wars movie.

We celebrated Asher's birthday with his buddies for a backyard screening of the original Star Wars movie.
It was a huge success.
